I managed to get the other thing I wanted (Gold Ore in the Nether) but then they added a new block type. I realize this is another Minecraft related post, so feel free to ignore it if you don't play the game. Blackstone (new material found in the nether) is my new favorite building material, but it is currently as of this snapshot non renewable. Basalt meanwhile has its own generator much like a cobblestone generator.
